# Photon

> Prescribing infrastructure for AI-enabled care: fast, safe and secure for prescribers, with price transparency and choice for patients.

Photon is prescribing infrastructure for AI-enabled care. Platforms and agents use it to draft prescriptions, and prescribers use it to review, sign and send them **quickly, safely and securely**. Above all, Photon gives patients **price transparency and a real choice** of where to fill them.

## For patients: price transparency and choice

Most prescriptions are sent straight to a pharmacy before the patient knows what they'll pay or whether it's in stock. Photon reverses that:

More prescriptions get filled, more affordably, with less work for your team.

## For prescribers: fast, safe, secure

| | How |
| - | - |
| **Fast** | Templates fill in the drug, sig and quantity. Drug names resolve to the catalog as the prescriber types. Your backend or an agent can draft the whole order, so the prescriber only reviews, signs and sends. |
| **Safe** | Every prescription is screened against the patient's allergies, medications and conditions before it's signed. When Photon isn't sure which patient or drug is meant, it asks rather than guessing. |
| **Secure** | Only a signed-in prescriber can sign, and the signature covers exactly what they reviewed. Tokens are scoped to one organization, and machine credentials can draft but never sign. |

## Two products

Most platforms use both: Prescribe for the prescriber, and Network to fill in what your product already knows.
